Qualifications:
 

  • Vocational level Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in shipping industry.
  • Good communication skills (Dutch and English).
  • Good organisational skills.


Essential Skills:

  • On time execution of planned and unplanned maintenance, repair and recplacement activities.
  • Increase the availability, reliability and maintainability of mechanical rotating equipment.
  • Notice problems beforehand and reduce the number of breakdowns.
  • Conference calls to discuss problems with onshore, remote technical expertise to come to best solutions.

This role exists to maintain offshore mechanical equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient offshore operations. The MTO performs maintenance, repair and replacement activities in own area of expertise, according to work programmes, the MMS, maintenance planning and budget, in order to maximize the equipment reliability and availability and reduce replacement costs. This needs to be done in liaison with the Shift Supervisor and Mechanical & Rotating Equipment Team Leader and in compliance with applicable legislative requirements, existing procedures and standards, including HSEQ.

Accountabilities:

 

  • ROTATING EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE.
  • FABRIC MAINTENANCE.
  • TROUBLESHOOTING.
  • INSPECTIONS.
  • DETAILED WORK PLANNING.
  • STOCK REQUISITION.
  • ADMINISTRATION.
  • CONTRACTOR SUPERVISION.
  • HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY.
  • ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES.
